A manifestation of sky and water.

The façade of Tower 5, Collins Square was in need of an entirely new facelift. Working with a short project timeline and a tight budget, the client envisioned an affordable, brand-new façade for the building that would better resonate with Melbourne’s present skyline and architecture.

In collaboration with Woods Bagot, our team of architects created a façade that appears to glide along the surface in ripples. The design takes its cue from the dappled surface of the Yarra River that brilliantly mirrors Melbourne’s ever-changing weather patterns. Two basic patterns are evident in the external claddings repetitive panelling system. Whilst simple, the final outcome is vibrant and dynamic, resulting in an enriched experience of the building and its interaction with the sky and its changing light.
