Our client wanted a high performance office building in the heart of the Darwin CBD that would respond to its unique civic location and demanding climate. The building was to designed for the tropics with a strong focus upon sustainability and micro climates.

solution

Our concept was to create three distinctive box forms that provided open and flexible office space for a wide range of quality tenants. The whole building was raised up on thin columns above a solid oxide coloured base containing the arrival lobby, cafe and end of trip facilities. The main service core was located to one side, providing protection from the western sun while allowing uninterrupted floor plates with expansive views over Darwin Harbour.
