We were asked to design a new office building that could begin a repositioning of Mascot as a desirable commercial precinct south of Sydney’s CBD. Our challenge was to create a space that would engage with nature and encourage health and wellness in an otherwise challenging industrial area.

Existing site conditions, including contaminated soil and large mature fig trees demanded a unique design solution. Six levels of commercial office space float above a dense tree canopy providing expansive views over Sydney Airport to the south and the CBD to the north. Our client envisions a progressive workspace centred around health & wellbeing, to achieve this, large portions of the ground and mezzanine levels are given over to user experience, end of trip facilities, a wellness centre, recovery space and café.
