For the central siting of the project in the office campus precinct of Macquarie Park, we were tasked to design a new block of serviced apartments and a new landmark hotel. The new buildings will provide a sanctuary for those looking to escape the bustling city.

Drawing our inspiration from the quiet green surroundings of Lane Cove Road, we aimed to design a series of living spaces and accommodation that would provide a lush retreat away from the city. We wanted to create a strong contrast against the concrete blocks of the city and re-create the image of a Scandinavian timber lodge tucked away in the woods. As a result, we successfully re-interpreted the expectations of an urban fringe serviced apartment.
